I have had the best experience so far working with Dr. Truong and his team. From the beginning consultation with Monika to working with Jolina before the surgery to Keren at the surgical center, the entire team has been amazing. I was very nervous about the whole process, but I was made to feel comfortable every step of the way and 1 month post op already feel great about the results and know they will continue to get better (I had a breast augmentation). I don't even know where to begin with how absolutely amazing DrT and his staff are. I had a breast augmentation on March 5 2020, and just everything from the start has been smooth and effortless. I never felt like just another number, I was taken care of every step of the way. He is warm kind honest and will point you in the right direction, and it's so awesome to have my own nurse anytime I need to call about of to answer questions. He is a true artist and I am so happy with the outcome, look, feel everything im obsessed. Updated on 23 Apr 2020: I'm 5'8 160 lbs. I got the moderate plus profile mentor silicone gel implant 475 CC on left and right. I will say the worst part of all of this was taking the antibiotics haha. I have a sensitive stomach so taking those sucked, but I only had to take them for a week.

Updated on 5 Feb 2021: Technically March is my 1 year but I just couldn't wait haha. I am so beyond happy and in love with my results. They feel and look incredible. I get compliments all the time and I always rave about my surgeon for being so amazing and talented.

After several different consultations by various doctors, I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Truong. I had a breast augmentation with lift and a year later I've never felt or looked better. I wouldn't change a thing and would go with Dr. Truong and his staff all over again.

Updated on 16 Sep 2019: I came to Dr. Truong over a year ago and he was one of many breast augmentation consultations I've had. Upon making an appointment in the Chicago location I was greeted by Monika the office manager. The office is super clean, modern, easy to find, and the overall staff incredibly friendly. This was already a plus in my book.

Dr. Truong and Monika both took their time with me during my consultation; knowing how nervous I was to consider such a procedure for the first time. I came in knowing nothing about breast augmentation and what I would need, however the Dr. Truong guided me into the best fit and answered all my questions. I've never felt so confident in a procedure before, and I couldn't wait to get scheduled. Even after signing documentation and putting a deposit down, I got the butterflies about having a Breast lift and implants done. I called the office again and was more than excited to learn that Dr. Truong was more than happy to see me for another consult before the surgery just so my mind is at ease. No other doctor would do this for me! Immediately I've felt 110 times better. My surgery went without a hitch! Literally almost no bruising, no need for drains, limited pain and they were everything I expected. Now a year later since my surgery I've healed up and couldn't imagine looking any better! I've also gone back to Dr. Truongs office for Botox and fillers as well since I trust their expertise. I would definitely recommend Dr. Truong for your plastic surgery needs.

I scheduled my appointment for surgery the same day of my first appointment with him, which for me was a no-brainer. I very recently (last Thursday) had breast augmentation done with DrTruong and I am not even a full week post op and I LOVE my result. I don't normally write reviews, but I really want people to know how AMAZING DrTruong and his entire staff are. I had my initial consultation with Katie and she understood exactly what I was looking for- a natural just fuller version of what I already had. Their recommendations were spot on. I wanted a natural look- just enhanced so we went with 400cc's Mod Plus Mentor Gel implants under the muscle. This is definitely the way to go if you don't want people to know you have big fake boobs. I felt so extremely comfortable throughout the entire process- every single person in that office that I encountered was so pleasant and friendly. It's only right I leave a review since I've been on here for years reading other reviews. Thanks to all the women who posted their stories! Please feel free to ask me any questions!!

I has 2 c-sections and gained about 50 pounds with each pregnancy. Two years ago I became serious about my physical health cause it really helps with my mental health. I do HIIT 5 days a week and weightlifting about 4 days. I'm 5'3, 128 pounds and besides my flabby belly I am very happy with my body. I'm less than an A cup but I've never had any boobies so that didn't bother me. So after 7 years of research I decided to do this for me.

I've had too many consultations to count but after speaking with Monika (the patient navigator of some sorts) I knew I had the right place. I felt heard and understood. There was no pressure to make a rush decision. We had a Zoom consultation and stayed online over and hour. She is truly wonderful and I know I wouldn't have picked Chicago Breast and Body if it wasn't for Monika.

Once I agreed, paid a $1k deposit, I was scheduled to meet with Dr. Truong. I've read a few reviews about his lack of bedside manner. He wasn't warm and fuzzy, didn't seem like he particularly liked this part of his job but he was confident and slightly arrogant. That's what I need in a surgeon. We don't have to be BFFs but can you do the job? He told me exactly what I needed and didn't. I did not need lipo and he would try to use the c-section decision. I didn't leave thinking, "I love this guy". Rather, "this is the guy". I just felt he understood what I wanted (no weird belly button or too taunt abdomen). After I was given a surgery date and had pre-op labs most of my contact was with Jolina (medical assistant). Another very kind and lovely human being. Every time she called to check on me I had a mini panic attack and she talked me off the edge. Both her and Monika are angels.

So that's my pre-op story. I'll be sure to post my journey.

Updated on 1 Apr 2022: Healing has been great after the 3 month mark! This post is mainly to praise Dr. Truong and his staff. The follow up has been extremely pleasant. From 1 week post op to my my 6 month check-up, I have had nothing but a great experience. He calmed my nerves with the in-office drain removal procedure (which did not hurt at all!) and at the appropriate time encouraged me to stop walking hunched over (I was scared to stand straight but at 6 weeks he said it was mental and I'd be ok). Dr. Truong has been receptive to my feedback and consistently asks my opinion while addressing my concerns.

I'd say the first 2 months are brutal but by 3 months I was getting closer to normal. I went back to work after 2 weeks and wish I would've taken 3.

As far as my results, I couldn't be happier! I have a natural looking belly button and my incision is healing beautifully (the incision pic is 3 months po). I do still have soft tissue swelling after eating a salty meal or prolonged standing but with a little rest that resolves. I'm no longer wearing a faja and I feel 100%. I have been cleared to return to the gym and plan to get back ASAP!

This procedure was more physically and emotionally challenging than either C-section but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. There is no one I'd trust more that Dr. Truong! I could've gone somewhere else and saved maybe $3-5k and I likely would've paid more in revisions. Him and his team are worth every dollar.

I recently had a tummy tuck procedure which was performed by Dr. T only about 3 weeks ago. I feel & look great! I can't express how ecstatic I truly am! I'm in my 30's with no kids, struggling with weight since I was a teenager. My weight fluctuating over the years caused me to have a pouch (very unattractive). I'm still on the plus size but a hanging belly made me look even heavier and impacted my self-esteem. Before I went to Dr. T for a consult, I reached out to several of the popular Instagram doctors aboard. I watched countless videos of other girls who shared their experiences having surgeries in other countries. I received several cheap quotes compared to the prices in Chicago and other US cities. But I just couldn't risk traveling aboard and jeopardizing my health to save money. I'm writing a long review because prior to my surgery and even before my consultation, I searched endlessly for honest reviews from other patients who had gotten a tummy tuck and were in the same predicament as myself. It's only been 3 weeks but my body has transformed and my self-confidence has increased. I'm looking forward to the final results which do take several months.

The recovery has been really easy! Please don't be disheartened by the scary and painful experiences shared on social media and YouTube. I understand everyone's body is not the same and each of us will have a different experience with our recovery. With that being said, having an experienced, board certified, and a plastic plastic surgeon makes all the difference. Honestly, hardest part of the recovery was not being able to drive for the first 2 weeks. Driving restrictions will be given by all plastic surgeons who perform tummy tucks. I was hesitant because it was my surgery and also because of the cost, but Dr. T's prices are fair, affordable and competitive in the Chicago market. I was not pressured into getting the surgery, my questions were thoroughly answered with kindness and patience by Dr. T and his wonderful assistant Monika. I asked countless redundant questions and spent a great deal of time with both of them before finalizing my decision. The entire staff is so professional, nonjudgmental, genuinely kind and caring.

Final thoughts, it might be cheaper to travel aboard but it's not worth the risk. I made decision to undergo my surgery ever with Dr. T, not only because of his merits, academic accomplishments and amazing procedure results and also his swag, but because of his of his aura. It's hard to explain but you will sense it when you meet him, he's honest, patient, kind and most importantly he's ethical. He doesn't recommend unnecessary procedures or enforces changes he wants to see on you. He will help and guide you in achieving the body you have envisioned for yourself. My only regret is not getting a tummy tuck sooner with him. It's embarrassing but I'm sharing pics because I had desperately searched for body types like my own, who had gotten the procedure and wanted to see their results. I hope my very long review helps anyone considering tummy tuck. If you're in Chicago meet Dr. T, if you're interested in the tummy tuck, it'll be totally worth it! Amazing Surgery Experience!!!

Brazilian Butt Lift - 1 day post-op

Today I had surgery for Brazilian Butt Lift!!! The fact that I am functioning enough to be online, writing a review at midnight says a lot about my recovery.

I do want to start off by saying that I am a very active person and not overweight. I work out 5-6 days a week, I train with a personal trainer 2-3 days every week consistently for the past full year, and I eat fairly healthy. This is important to know because what I feel for "pain" is very comparable to the soreness that I feel after a very intense work out. This is why for me, the recovery has been very comfortable and tolerable because my body is use to being in pain. Quite frankly I have been in more pain recovering from a work out than from this surgery so far. My fitness and health journey began a little over a year ago when I was introduced to Dr. Truong, Dr.Ardijar, and Dr. Batista. The average person who just underwent a surgical procedure would either be sleeping, medicated on pain killers, or just resting/recovering. I'm forcing myself to lay down and relax because I am too energized and want to be up and moving, but I know I should be taking it easy (my surgery was later in the day perhaps around 2-2:30 pm). The only thing I felt when I got home was dizziness and minor nausea. I took one Zofran which was prescribed for nausea and after about 10-15 min later I felt absolutely nothing! (I only had to take it once.) I took one only pill (oxycodone) at 10:00pm not because I was in excruciating pain, but because I was hoping it would put me to sleep. Clearly it had no effect on me because I am wide awake and full of energy, however, it helped relax my muscles. My energy may be contributed to my excitement and satisfaction of my experience today.

I will be realistic and say that I was not in my pain necessarily, I refer to it more as discomfort that is very tolerable for me (I tend to have a high pain tolerance). Perhaps I may still be numb from the anesthesia or as I described above with the comparison of my workouts so I will update my experience tomorrow.

Updated on 30 Mar 2019: I refrained from updating every day because some days you feel the exact same way which was the case for my 2nd and 3rd day. Definitely expect day 2 and 3 to be the worst. I was a little too confident in my first review and can confirm that I was still numb from the anesthesia. The following morning I felt the pain. I still found it tolerable and comparable to soreness from exercise just a lot more intense. Waking up and getting up is hands down the hardest part of the recovery process. I took 1 Percocet every 5 hours and eased off by the evening and switched to extra strength Tylenol. Day 3 I took Tylenol only in the morning and by evening-night time I eliminated any medication for pain.

Today is day 4 and I feel so much better still rough in the morning but no pain medication is required. I left the house for the first time and used my BBL pillow for the first time as well, but I couldn't sit comfortably in the passengers seat. I wasn't in pain but I was very uncomfortable because I had to use my arms to hold myself up to prevent my butt from hitting the seat or sinking in so I layed down in the back seat for the remainder of my commute. I will experiment again tomorrow in hopes of having a little more success.

Updated on 25 Jun 2019: Today I hit my 3-month post-surgery date and I am happier than ever! I feel almost 100% like myself. On occasion, there is still some minor lower back ache and I can still feel my abdomen a little hard from the scar tissue but I am thoroughly prepared to expect minor irregularities until 6 months-1 full year. I look great and the compliments just keep coming. I started working out after 2 weeks, and by 1 month I had very little to no restrictions. I just can't rave enough about Dr. Truong and his wonderful staff.

I want to start my review by saying "WOW!" Going into my consultation I felt nervous. Everyone at Chicago breast and body made me feel comfortable and knowledgeable about my surgery. I had initially went in for consult for a breast augmentation with plans in the near future to having a BBL. Although those were my plans I consistently went back and forth with my decision. I wanted the small waist with a butt but I also wanted the busty chest. Either way I knew I wanted both surgery's. I just knew I'd see a bigger difference in my figure if I had gotten a BBL. So I scheduled my BBL!!! Everyone at the surgery center was so wonderful and comforting. The day of surgery I had decided I wanted lipo of the moms as well. Again, everyone was so lenient with that last min add on. My healing process was less painful than I imagined. I returned to work 5 days after my surgery. I had soreness mostly in the abdomen. I felt like I hit the gym and did a ton of sit ups but it was totally tolerable with extra strength Tylenol. My mons area was probably the most painful area during my recovery. At one point in the healing process I felt like I had a bit of fluid buildup there. When I went in for my follow up visit, Dr. Truong did drain a little fluid but most of it was just swelling. I'm about 2 weeks out post op and most of my pain is gone. Mons is still a little tender. I still haven't sat, it's been recommended not to sit for about 3-6 weeks. All I can say is, I can't wait to sit!! That has probably been the hardest part of it all.

Brazilian Butt Lift - 23 months post-op

My surgery date is all set for November 6th. I am so excited. When I went for consultation, everyone was so nice. Monika was amazing! She has been in contact with me ever since my consultation October 4th! I must admit I was nervous that I was not going to have enough fat. I am 5'1" about 130 pounds so I wasn't sure if I needed to gain weight or not. From speaking to Monika she assured me that Dr. T is amazing and that his lipo is aggressive so that he can get the most fat. My overall experience so far has been great! I cannot wait to see what my results will look like. I received my prescriptions the same day as my consultation and I have scheduled my lipo work next week. Can't wait!

Updated on 11 Dec 2018: Today marks my 5 week post op with DrT. I am very pleased with my results so far. I will try to explain my 5 week progress, but I know I will forget some things so if you have a question please ask. First off Dr. T and his staff are very professional and nice. They take the time to let you know what is going to happen and will answer any questions that you may have. When I went in for my procedure, Dr. T and his nurse came in and took pictures and began marking me up for where to insert the fat and where to remove it from. Next thing I know I am in the operating room, and before I knew it I was knocked out sleep. I don't remember anything other than waking up in the recovery room with my faja on. I was in pain but not that much because of the medications still being in my system. Once the procedure was over, I went home. I did not have much fluid/blood. I slept for the first day, not much and then after that, I did not. Dr. T does not use drains by the way. He says the he would be worried about infection.Which was fine with me. Also, you do get stitches on each incision site which is removed after 1 week when you go in for your 1 week post op visit with Dr. T

After years of wanting to do a BBL I finally did it! Dr. T and his staff were AMAZING!! The anesthesiologist Karen made me feel so comfortable and even text me the next day to see how I was feeling. But of course the best part of all in my 5'0 126lb frame is looking banging!! So natural looking and my waist is tiny (and it's only day 2) I cannot want to see how I look in the coming weeks!! If your in in Chicago you do not need to travel out of state for good work, Dr. T is your guy!!

Dr. Truong is amazing!! I researched doctors online and chose to have a consultation with him. Just by looking at my body he was able to point out exactly what I was going to tell him that I wanted. His experience with liposuction and bbl surgery really showed up during the consultation. He is very professional and gives off a reassuring energy. So, I didn't feel self-conscious about sharing my concerns with him. Everyone at the office is extremely supportive and helpful. When I went in to have my surgery, he thoroughly went over details of the body shape I wanted. I was so excited!!! I can't wait to go back to my one month post op appointment. Updated on 17 Jan 2018: I love my results..my stomach is still swollen..which is normal (Swelling can last up to six months.) As far as the booty goes..my advice is to put as much fat as you can in it, because you WILL lose a lot of it. All in all it was totally worth it & I'm happy I chose DrT!
