RENUVION JPLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING | CHICAGO, IL
Renuvion® Skin Tightening
Renuvion® (formerly known as J-Plasma) is a revolutionary skin tightening treatment that uses RF energy and helium plasma beneath the surface to tighten and contract loose skin. It is a minimally invasive procedure that can be used in conjunction with liposuction or as a stand-alone procedure.
How Does Renuvion Jplasma Work?
What Are The Benefits Of Renuvion® Skin Tightening?
Areas that can be treated include the face and body, such as abdomen, flanks, back, inner thighs, and arms. Some benefits include:
- Tightens the skin
- Minimally invasive
- May reduce your recovery period
- Immediate and long-lasting results
What Areas Can Be Treated With Renuvion?
Almost any area where loose skin is a problem can be treated with Renuvion jplasma including:
- Inner and outer thighs
- Male Chest
Renuvion can be used as a stand-alone procedure. However it is most commonly done in conjunction with liposuction. Although Renuvion can be added to any liposuction procedure including Lipo360, VaserLipo®, or Brazilian Butt Lift, your surgeon will discuss with you if you would benefit from adding it. Only cases where loose skin is anticipated will benefit from J-Plasma.
Who Is A Good Candidate For Skin Tightening?
Any patient who has loose skin in almost any area of the body, including abdomen, back, arms, thighs, or neck and face may benefit from the procedure. Patients who are undergoing Lipo360, Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), or any liposuction procedure should consider Renuvion if loose skin is a concern. Your surgeon will do a thorough examination to see if you are a good candidate who would benefit from skin tightening.
Renuvion can be done after liposuction to help tighten skin. Depending on how recent your liposuction procedure is, your surgeon may require you to wait 6-8 months to allow softening of scar tissue before undergoing the procedure.
Can I Do Renuvion Jplasma Instead Of A Tummy Tuck Procedure?
Renuvion is effective in correcting mild to moderate skin laxity, but it cannot replace a Tummy Tuck. If you have more significant skin laxity, skin redundancy (loose folds), or muscle laxity (diastasis), then you would likely be a better candidate for a Tummy Tuck. Your surgeon will do a thorough examination and explain to you which procedure is recommended for your individual case.
Is The Procedure Safe?
Yes, Renuvion is a very safe and effective procedure when performed by a surgeon who is trained and certified. The flexile and blunt hand-piece is specially designed to prevent penetration injuries. Bleeding is usually minimal or non-existent due to the RF energies coagulation properties. The cold helium gas provides immediate cooling of the RF energy to protect surrounding tissue. Burns injuries are extremely rare and the Renuvion technology prevents the RF energy from firing without flow of the helium gas. Helium gas is an inert gas that is safely expelled from the body with no systemic effects.
What Is The Recovery Period For Renuvion Jplasma?
Recovery after J-Plasma will depend on the amount of areas treated and whether or not it was done in conjunction with liposuction or Brazilian Butt Lift. You should expect some swelling and bruising which can last up to two weeks or more. Most patients experience some numbness but minimal pain from J-Plasma alone. The skin tightening effect of J-Plasma can be be seen almost immediately, but improvements and additional tightening can continue to occur up to six months after!
You should follow your surgeon’s post-operative instructions closely to maximize your healing and achieve the best results. Your surgeon will recommend the best type of compression garments which could include foam and contouring devices. Other treatments including lymphatic massage, lasder, ultrasound, or scar therapies may also be recommended by your surgeon.
Is Renuvion Jplasma Permanent?
J-Plasma causes permanent procedure in the sense that the skin tightening effect is not reversible. However, your skin will continue to loose laxity with age and over time, you may need a repeat treatment. Patients who have moderate weight fluctuations may also experience recurrent skin laxity.
